The main character is called Monkey and all his conscious life he ran away from the robots and long ago reconciled with his hermit's life. Mankind will be practically erased from the face of the Earth, and on the planet will hobble hordes of robots, which gradually destroy all surviving homo sapiens. As usual, nothing good is waiting for us in the beautiful and distant.
